Zoey, a 2-year-old black and white pitbull with severe reactivity and anxiety and a bite history, was able to make a full recovery thanks to our number one working dog, Iiri, a blue-nose pitbull. We asked Iiri why she does it, and she said, "For the pup cups." Let's not tell her they are free.
CASE STUDIES
Zoe is a 2-year-old pit bull with a bite history. She was terrified of people, dogs, and some environmental objects (neophobia).
At the end of our 6-week program, she could play with other dogs, and her owners could have a birthday party for their son without her trying to harm their guests. We accomplished this with behavior modification and didn't need medication.

Zac is a 2-year-old Standard Poodle English sheepdog mix. He loves people but has been aggressive with dogs.
At the end of our 6-week program, he can now walk off-leash at the beach daily and interact with many other dogs.
He is a 4-year-old dachshund who spent his first two years of life in a hoarding house, where he had little contact with humans. When he was rescued, my clients adopted him. They have had him for two years, but he has been unable to stop barking. He will bark all day until he is exhausted because he is afraid of humans.
After our 12-week program, he could relax for the first time in his life and go on walks like a normal dog. He even has a new best friend, a cat recently adopted by his owners.
Remi and Ruger are 6-month-old pit bull siblings who have developed sibling syndrome, a condition that causes anxiety and aggression in siblings raised together. This caused Ruger to become very anxious and Remi to become aggressive. Both were afraid of objects, people, and dogs.
After our 12-week program, these dogs are doing much better and now are acting like normal well, well-adjusted dogs.

At Epic K9, we have specialized working dogs that help us rehabilitate many dogs that otherwise wouldn't be able to recover from training alone.
Our working dogs undergo two years of specialized and intensive training before they begin a one-year internship, where they work under a senior dog to learn the ropes.
Not every dog completes this training program, and our dropouts are placed in homes at no cost to individuals who require emotional support dogs, therapy dogs, or service dogs. All of our dogs are rescued, usually from shelters where they were at risk of euthanasia. None of our dogs are forced to do this work; they are carefully chosen for their desire to do this work, and a lack of this desire is one of the criteria for being placed in a home where they are better suited.
At Epic K9, we believe that our dogs should be doing what they love and what they were born to do. Even if that is just to be a pet.
